This is one of my all time favourite interior decorating styles; propped up vintage paintings in kitchens. A simple and effective style that is possible on a limited budget.

This relaxed and casual approach to art has an ease to it, creating a cosy and comfortable look. These are not fine art paintings so don’t be afraid to have paintings hung/propped around the kitchen, they won’t damage too easily. Just perhaps not too close to the cooker and watch out for too much sun. Move your paintings around as well to keep you kitchen look changing - have fun with your art.

Oil portraits can have a strong look to them, layer them up, hang them side by side or make a gallery wall of them. As long as you love the painting you can do no wrong.
